How funds are protected

All payments on FunderVibe are processed by Stripe, one of the most trusted payment processors in the world. Your card details are never stored on FunderVibe's servers — they go directly to Stripe's PCI-DSS-compliant infrastructure.

When you back a project, your card is authorized — not charged. The hold reserves the funds on your card but no money moves until the campaign deadline. If the project hits its goal by the deadline, all authorized pledges are captured at once and paid out to the creator. If the goal is not met, every authorization hold is released and you are never charged.

Campaign approval process

Every campaign that requests funding is reviewed by the FunderVibe team before it appears on the live feed. Here's what we check:

• ✓Identity check. We verify the creator's email and that the account was created in good faith. Anonymous campaigns are not approved for funding.
• ✓Pitch review. We read the pitch, milestone plan, and perk description. We reject campaigns with vague, misleading, or copy-pasted pitches.
• ✓Goal sanity check. Goals that are unrealistically high or suspiciously low are flagged for additional review before approval.
• ✓Prohibited content check. We reject campaigns for anything illegal, deceptive, or violating our Terms of Service.

Most reviews complete within 24 hours. Approved campaigns go live immediately. Rejected campaigns receive a reason and can be revised and resubmitted.

Fraud prevention

Beyond campaign approval, we actively monitor for:

• →Creators who receive funding and go silent — we flag successfully funded projects with no public updates after 30 days of payout.
• →Duplicate or near-identical campaigns from the same account.
• →Coordinated pledge patterns that look like self-funding or artificial inflation.
• →Reports from the community about misrepresented projects.

Accounts found to be operating in bad faith are suspended immediately and any outstanding pre-capture holds are released. Stripe's fraud tooling also runs in parallel on every transaction.

Pledge policy: Pledges are final and non-refundable once charged. FunderVibe does not process backer refunds except in cases of platform-initiated suspension or confirmed fraud. See our Terms of Service for full details.

Report a campaign

If you believe a campaign is fraudulent, misrepresenting itself, or violating our terms, please contact us immediately. Include the project name or URL, and a brief description of your concern. All reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
