Frequently asked questions
Pledges & payments
How do refunds work?
When you back a project, your card is authorized — not immediately charged. The authorization hold reserves the amount but no money leaves your account until the campaign deadline.
If the campaign reaches its funding goal by the deadline, the hold is captured and funds go to the creator (minus the platform fee and Stripe's processing fee). If the goal is not met, the authorization is released automatically and you are never charged.
Pledges are final and non-refundable once charged. By backing a project you acknowledge that FunderVibe does not offer refunds on captured payments. The only exceptions are (a) the project is suspended or removed by FunderVibe before the deadline, in which case all holds are released; or (b) FunderVibe determines at its sole discretion that a refund is warranted due to fraud or material misrepresentation by the creator.

What if a project doesn't reach its funding goal?
FunderVibe uses an all-or-nothing funding model. If a campaign has not reached its goal by the deadline, all authorization holds on backer cards are released. You are never charged.
The creator does not receive any funds unless they hit their goal. This protects backers and ensures creators are only funded when they have the resources to deliver on their promises.
How are funds released to creators?
When a campaign reaches its goal by the deadline, all authorized pledges are captured at once and transferred to the creator's connected Stripe account via Stripe Connect.
FunderVibe deducts a 5% platform fee from the captured total before payout. Stripe's standard payment processing fee (~2.9% + 30¢ per transaction) is deducted separately. The roadmap milestones displayed on each project page are the creator's stated plan — they are not fund-release triggers.
What are the fees?
FunderVibe charges a 5% platform fee on successfully collected pledges. This is deducted before payout to the creator.
Stripe also charges their standard payment processing fee (~2.9% + 30¢ per transaction) directly. This is separate from FunderVibe's fee.
There are no listing fees, monthly charges, or fees for failed or incomplete campaigns.
How is my payment information protected?
Your card details are processed directly by Stripe and never stored on FunderVibe's servers. Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant — the highest level of certification available in the payments industry.
FunderVibe only receives a Stripe payment intent ID and the pledge status (succeeded/failed). See our Trust & Safety page for more detail on how funds are protected.
For creators
How do I start a campaign?
Create an account, then click "+ Project" from the top nav. Fill in your pitch, set a funding goal, define your milestones, and connect your Stripe account. Submit for review — most campaigns are approved within 24 hours.
See the full guide on our For Creators page.
Does my project need to be finished before I can list it?
No — FunderVibe is specifically for early-stage projects. You can list an idea, an MVP, or a project in active development. What matters is that your pitch is honest about where things stand and your milestones reflect what you'll actually build with the funds.
What happens during the campaign review?
Every campaign that requests funding is reviewed by our team before going live. We verify the creator's identity, review the pitch for honesty and clarity, and check that the funding goal and milestone plan are reasonable.
If your campaign is rejected, you'll receive a reason and can revise and resubmit. The most common reasons for rejection are: vague milestone definitions, mismatched pitch and goal, or prohibited content.
Account & platform
What is FunderVibe?
FunderVibe is a rewards-based crowdfunding platform for vibe-coded and early-stage software projects. Builders list campaigns with funding goals and milestones and accept pledges via Stripe. Backers support projects they believe in and track progress to launch. See our About page for the full story.
How does FunderVibe work?
Creators register, connect a Stripe account, and submit a campaign — including a pitch, funding goal, deadline, and milestone plan. Campaigns go live after a brief review.
Backers browse the discover feed, choose a reward tier, and pledge via Stripe. Cards are authorized at pledge time but only charged if the campaign reaches its goal by the deadline.
If the goal is not met, every authorization hold is released and backers pay nothing. If the goal is met, pledges are captured and creators are paid out — minus the platform fee and Stripe processing fees.
Is FunderVibe an investment platform?
No. Backing a project on FunderVibe does not give you equity, shares, or any financial return. FunderVibe is rewards-based crowdfunding only. Backers receive access, perks, or early versions of the product as defined by the creator's reward tiers — not ownership or profit participation.
What does it cost to list a project?
Listing a project on FunderVibe is free. There are no upfront fees, monthly charges, or listing costs.
If your campaign is successfully funded, FunderVibe deducts a 5% platform fee from the funds raised before paying out to your connected Stripe account. Stripe's standard card processing fees also apply. Backers always pay the face-value pledge amount — no surcharges are added at checkout.
How do I report a campaign I think is fraudulent?
